HELLO AGAIN!

PLEASE FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

You will need:

Your Journals

Something to write with

Someone willing to keep time

Someone willing to report back to Emily at the end of class.

STEP ONE

Start the class by counting as usual. Count until your record is broken or until ten past.

STEP TWO

You should all have returned with quotes that are meaningful to you, start by sharing them, explaining where you found them, and discussing why you chose it. Every person should write down every quote.

STEP THREE

When you've made it around the circle, set a timer for five minutes and journal about the quote you've heard. When the timer is up, discuss your journaling and piece together any similar themes in the quotes you've brought or reactions you had. Do they tell a story? Is it a conversation? Does a perspective fall into place? Are there two sides, are they all so drastically different you can't bring them together?

STEP FOUR

Wherever your discussion takes you, you have the following options

Work Individually:

Choose a quote that isn't yours and create SOMETHING that is based on that quote.

Pair off and create something based on your two quotes combined.

The entire group uses their conversation, journals, and quotes, to choose a single word that embodies all of it.  You must then create something based on that word.

TO FINISH

However far you get, keep track of your process. Be thoughtful, be creative, be considerate. Be ready to discuss your work.  Please elect an individual to report which stage of the process you landed on, and how high you counted.
