You're Making A Scene!
In our last few classes we have been discussing the roles and skill sets of Directors and Performers. We will be continuing that lesson in a very special way! Each of you will act as a director, a performer, and a playwright!
CHOOSE YOUR PROMPT
Remember all the scenes we made in class? Here they are!!
FIND YOUR CAST
Ask members of your family if they would be willing to be a part of this project. Ask nicely!
Feel free to alter the scene slightly to fit however many cast members you've got. You might have to think creatively.
You've got your outline, you've got your characters, all that's left is to fill it in. That means write the script. You can have your family help you if you'd like, because they're going to need a script too. If you're able, you might decide to type and print it. If you prefer to handwrite it, that's fine too. Here is an example of what your script should look like:
REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE
You know how this part works. Once the actors have their scripts, you start staging the scene. You can do this however you'd like, but make sure you can film it for the class! We will have a show and tell the next time we meet.
