The plot

Detective Billy Thursby thought life as a flatfoot would be full of adventure and intrigue, after all, that's what all his favorite movies told him. Turns out being a private detective isn't quite as exciting as he hoped. Until now. Ever wonder how  a classic Film Noire would play out in a world with twitter and cellphones? The Murder Day answers that question with jokes, music, and puns.  Follow Billy and his by-the-book partner as they get swept up into the case of Mrs. Lacey, an ex-movie star accused of killing her rich husband. Billy is sure the butler did it, but the case grows more tangled by the minute.  Between the missing girls, the stolen jewels, and the mob hanging around, who knows who did what?

"I WANTED THE CRIME, I WANTED THE CHASE, I WANTED TO LIVE THE LIFE OF A REAL LIVE ACE. I WANTED SOLVE, I WANTED TO SAVE, BUT I GUESS WHAT I GET IS THE MUNDANE...

I WISH IT WAS A LITTLE LESS... LAME."
